hello friends

Wow.  Things have certainly changed since my last post.  It's amazing what can happen in such a short amount of time.  Where do I begin?  Well, I'm still doing the roller derby thing.  Now I'm skating with a league called Battleground Roller Derby, and I love it, love it, love it.  It is some serious exercise and a hell of a lot of fun.  My derby name is Dixie Doom, #DD, hehe.  We practice three nights a week, so it takes up a good bit of time, but it's so worth it.  I have made some really great new friends, and I've also lost about 20 lbs. since November, so I've got no complaints.  Oh, and I got a new tattoo!  Check it out. 

I'm also very happy to report that there is a new love in my life.  Well, he's not entirely new.  We dated for a couple of months almost a year ago, and then decided to just be friends. "Just friends" turned into really great friends, and it wasn't long after that that we both realized that we had stronger feelings for one another.  He's such a wonderful man, and I am so thankful to have him in my life. 

I'm still keeping up with a bit of knitting every now and then.  I've had to spread around my free time between more activities lately, but I still manage to knit a few rows of a scarf every weekend.  Right now, I'm just working on a simple seed stitch scarf out of some hot pink Debbie Bliss Aran Tweed.
